Design of UX components and animations for consumer electronics devices
Swordfish spent our first two years working closely with Sony’s San Francisco, Tokyo, and Lund Creative Centers on a wide variety of UX initiatives. Among these projects was the parametric design for the PlayStation 4 animated wallpaper. After designing a pre-rendered version, we continued our engagement by coding it out in OpenGL to run in real time on PlayStation hardware. Eventually the geometry was slimmed down to create the PS4 ribbon used today.
